Depression anxiety and ocd
I have taken anti depressants from last 7 years continuously.I am suffering from ocd depression and anxiety.Now i want to stop medications bcoz my problems like checking repeated thoughts social anxiety is not totally cured. I also want to ask is it safe to take anti depressants for such a long time.

It's OK to take but are you taking properly on time and not skipping or on and off.. Hope you diagnosed correctly? Hi Please don't stop medicines, depression & anxiety are all part of OCD, symptoms can be controlled with medicines & therapy. Because it's OCD obvious it will take time to get cured. Instead of thinking about cure, think about how much benefit you got out of therapy, how the quality of life improved. Side effects are always there with English medicines especially with psychiatric medicines but still you have to take medicines as the side effects are minimal and benefits are more. so plz consult your therapist, assess yourself & go ahead. Thank you.

Hi Sir Thanks for seeking help here. You Problems can be treated with either,  medication or cognitive behavioral therapy. They are equally effective. But many people prefer medication due to lack of therapist ..... Hope you will understand that ....
