Hie.. you need to get your teeth cleaned followed by polishing of the teeth.. need to rule out the cause for sensitivity also.. it’s a myth that once you get your teeth cleaned u don’t have to get it done again.. it all depends upon the maintainence, eating habit, brushing techniques and position of you teeth
Next Steps

You need to undergo dental checkup and then full mouth cleaning as you have visited a dentist in your childhood . Everyone should go for dental visits more often as it can prevent a lot of gum diseases as well as save us from extensive procedures like RCT's. You also need to rule out if the sensitivity you have is due to some carious teeth.

Hello...as far as your concern you need a scaling to be done and medication will be prescribed to reduce your gingival pain and inflammation, because of plaque deposit your gums are inflamed and there will be mild infection as well after a single visit of cleaning and a 2days gap you may need a deep cleaning and an x-ray advised to see your periodontal status....for which you may require a follow up with a periodontist
Next Steps
first you require a mild cleaning for the first visit and medication to help you out of pain and inflammation
Health Tips
you have to check with a good brushing tecnique...because normally with a good brushing tecnique you will not develop so much plaque...do a warm water with salt gargle...you will be advised with a hexidine mouth wash along with medications after cleaning...
