My father aged 56 is looking to get dentures temporarily for 6 teeth on the lower jaw (last 3 teeth on each side) Would it be possible for him to get dental implants in the future and let go of the dentures?

Yes he can go for dentures for a short while and after sometime opt for implants if he wants.
Health Tips
It’s good to massage the gums regularly as there is bone loss under dentures.

He can go for implants directly, don't have to go for temporary dentures... Go for implants those are the strongest and the best option for replacement of teeth.... Going for Dentures and then for implants, don't have to spend for the both... Spend for implants and do the best treatment....
Next Steps
You need to take x-rays like opg... Consult your Dentist... If your father is Diabetic or  taking tablets for anyother medical problems.. Take the reports and have a consult with your Dentist..
