Do we get a guarantee card after the dental crown.?
Is it mandatory for the dentist to provide one after the dental crown.
If there is a guarantee card can I get the crown replaced from a different dentist other than the dentist who did the crowning.

It depends on what type of crown you chose and how many warreenty did you opt for.
No,it`s not mandatory for dentist to provide you the warranty card.
Yes,if you have the warranty card and if there is a problem with crown then you can get it replaced from another dentist.but the warranty is for crown and not the underlying tooth.So if the tooth sttructure is damaged then you cannot get it replaced.

Warranty card is provided by some labs on some types of crowns.
But they come with lots of conditions.
Not beneficial to patients.

It is not mandatory to get a guarantee card ..if any dentist offers u he does that out of his goodwill but beware all kind of warranty is for the crown and crown alone ..not the tooth underneath..if u got a warranty card and if there is a ceramic chip off maybe u can get it corrected or if crown breaks ( rarest ) a new crown will be provided ... understand it's healthcare not automotive industry where they provide warranty card for spare parts

Hi,
Please discuss with your dentist regarding the warranty card before selecting the crown. Different types of crowns have different warranty duration. Some dentists do not provide warranty cards. So please discuss with your dentist regarding the same.
A warranty card given after a crown is fixed is a Dental Lab warranty for the crown alone, not for the tooth under the crown. Within the warranty period mentioned on the card, any dentist can change the crown provided they are associated with the dental lab that provided the warranty card.

It depends on the type of crown you got and also the clinic from which the treatment was done.
Different types of crowns come with different sets of warranty period. You can even get crowns without any warranty. The cost will vary accordingly.
It’s not mandatory for the dentist to provide warranty cards with each type of crown.
If you have the warranty card then mostly warranty can be claimed only from the clinic you got the treatment done in the first place.
