Good evening,                           What you have heard is absolutely wrong. This is the misconception everyone is having due to lack of knowledge about the subject regarding teeth and gums.Teeth and roots doesn't become week. The theory behind this is that _ There is a hard deposit of Calculus on the teeth which increases in few years and gap is created between teeth and gums which eventually lead to loss of teeth. But if you are aware, you should consult with a Dentist and go for cleaning of teeth. Actually cleaning removes the calculus and cleans all deposit on your teeth. The gap which is created gets healed on it's own as tissue have it's own regenerative procedure. There is a slight mobility of teeth which gets reduced 2 to 3 week after proper treatment as gums then hold the teeth properly and you will notice reduced swelling of your gums also.
Next Steps
As the lockdown eases out you can consult with your nearby dentist and go for cleaning for your teeth. No worries. You will have strong teeth and a healthy smile and you will feel good also.

My opinion of decision for dental cleaning regularly should be done by a dentist. Always have a dental check up yearly once. Your dentist will decide whether you should undergo cleaning or not. Dental cleaning in the hands of good dentist is always good, but my suggestion to patient is to maintain your oral hygeine properly after dental cleaning so as, you won't have to go for cleaning again
Next Steps
Visit a good dentist and talk to him about your oral hygeine problems, how to maintain them

Nowadays qualified dental surgeon are doing scaling with ultrasonic scalers, which are very safe and hygienic.. Earlier unqualified dental quacks used some acids and used to scrap off enamel with sharp instruments
Next Steps
Go to a clean and hygienic dental clinic for professional scaling and polishing.
Health Tips
Scaling and polishing should be done atleast once a year.

Dental cleaning/scaling is must for you if you have hard deposits on your teeth, known as calculus, which cannot be cleaned only with brushing. Calculus leads to weakening of the gums & eventually bone present below the gums. Cleaning/scaling helps in removing those deposits from your teeth, hence making the gums as well as teeth healthy. The only caution to be taken is: Not to go for scaling before 6 months, it should be done only once in 6 months. After scaling, you can maintain your teeth by brushing twice daily & by follow ups with your dentists.
Next Steps
Go for dental check up first.

I should get ur dental cleaning done every 6 months after check up..pros is..it makes the gum healthy, reduces gingival inflammation, teeth becomes fre from plaque and calculus which is also a source of infection..there s as such no cons in scaling..but there is a false notion that it causes tooth mobility..which is not..tooth becomes mobile due to bad periodontal conditions which s sometimes held by stones or calculus..the teeth may feel shaky..but it stabilize depending on the grades of mobility..

What you have heard is not true..infact it is highly recommend to get teeth cleaning done professionally annually or annually depending upon the food habits, oral hygiene maintenance, gums condition and alignment of the teeth. ..If teeth are not clean that affects the teeth and roots negatively ... do not believe the rumors and mislead yourself
