Hello...putting braces on teeth is the specialisation of Orthodontist.
There are different options available today for orthodontics treatment.
Metallic braces, tooth colored braces, lingual orthodontics, no braces (use of aligners), invisalign.
Depending upon teeth condition, treatment time may vary from avg 6 months to 18 months or more.
