Dementia with pyschiatric features
Does trapex induce dementia and alzeimers in elderly. My father aged 81 had been taking it since 20 yrs. When stopped it abruptly he was diagnosed with dementia with psychiatric features. Since childhood he had convulsions at times mostly when his stomach is upset. He has convulsion while going to attend nature's call or urinate. Is it abdominal epilepsy

He might have been in delirium due to bzd withdrawal if it is that sudden. If it is dementia then it can be vascular dementia but Alzheimer's will not show such a sudden onset as you described. No , this is not how abdominal epilepsy generally presents. Please consult a neurologist for his Port symptoms.
