Going three months without a period after a few lighter cycles usually means your body has paused ovulation for now. This can happen with thyroid changes, high prolactin, stress, weight shifts, or PCOS, even without acne or extra hair growth. The pattern itself matters more than those classic signs being absent in your case.
Next Steps
A thyroid profile, prolactin level and a pelvic ultrasound are the standard first tests for you right now. A pregnancy test is routine too, regardless of relationship status. Please see a gynaecologist to get these done and review your spotting pattern.
Health Tips
See a doctor sooner if your spotting becomes heavier, you develop pelvic pain, or your periods don't return within another month or two.
