Ct scan may create cancer in scan area

Asked for Male, 30 Years

Sir,I take CT pns and brain for my sinusitis issues, 60 days after i take neck ct for swallowing issues. I have pharyngitis and swallowing issues .is it due to ct scan side effects, Cancer will be come for ct scan??? In scan area... please sir... clear my doubts

Unnecessary exposure to radiation is not advisable. CT scans for diagnostic purposes is safe. Pharyngitis and swallowing issues may be unrelated

Hi Usually CTscan for Paranasal issues is not without contrast. For swallowing issues - u got a repeat CT scan done, was contrast given to swallow ? If so Contrast usually causes nausea and vomiting and not pharyngitis. Repeated exposure to X rays can lead to cancer. But not with two exposures
