CT Scan and D Dimer
Our family(me, wife, son) tested postive by RT PCR. Taking treatment. But do we need to take CT scan and other blood tests like D Dimer if yes, what was the right time

Hi, There is no evidence of requirement of a CT scan in a patient of covid pneumonia . It's meticulous advised by doctors in inpatient population as an adjunct to the ongoing treatment. Similarly blood tests too don't change the course of treatment . They are a prognostication tools. Regards

Depends on the symptoms if they persist beyond 5 days you should go for blood tests And CT if condition seme to.worsen.....Beyond day 7 or day 8 of symptoms...
