Decrease in D dimer values
Hi,
I tested covid positive and finished my Quarantine couple of days back. Since my D Dimer levels are high my doc advised clexane 0 .6mg for 10 days everyday 2.After dosage still my D dimer levels not reduced and he is continuing the same Injections for another 5days.
I want to know when these D dimer values will return to normal.How long I've to use them.
My crp is 3,ESR is 24 ,RT PCR ct value is 28.
My physician said he cannot perform CT scan because I'm 25 weeks pregnant.

Pregnancy itself is a state of hypercoagulability - meaning prone to develop clots. When ddimer is high , it will even more make the blood prone to clot and can give complications.
So clexane(anticoagulant) is very essential to keep the levels low . A periodic follow up on the levels of ddimer will tell us when to stop clexane . Trust your doctor and do not stop or modify ongoing treatment without your primary physicians advise.
