D Dimer Test
My father has recently recovered from covid 19 at the time of admission his d dimer was elevated and the result was 592 but on the day of discharge his d dimer test report were less than 200. My question was how many times I have to do the d dimer test more after recovery.

Need detail history
Depending on the days of hospital stay and severity of disease I can suggest wether to repeat D dime or not
Even if D dimer comes normal pt needs to take anticoagulants of some weeks as precautions and to prevent post COVID complications.
