There are different techniques of crown lengthening such as using lasers, surgical scalpel. The healing on an average varies nd crown preparation can be done after three months or six months post operatively. It depends upon the thickness of biologic width(2 to 3 mm) for an esthetic appearance.

Atleast you should take 1 week gap between crown lenghtening and crown placement with regular visit to your dentist and that should also depend upon your healing capacity.
