Cough problem
I have coughing for 5 days. I took cough syrups corex but it didn't cure. Yesterday night I was unable to sleep due to my cough. In daytime cough is normal but at night it is very painful. I smoke 4 to 5 cigarette daily for 6 years. Recently I reduce cigarette intake max 2 cigarette. Plz suggest proper treatment.

Get a chest Xray and routein blood test done... Cough syrup is just an eye wash for temporary relief.. Add any antiallergic to your medication.. Emperical antibiotic coverage might be required.. after the test. Smoking is not recommended anyways.

Cough getting worse during the night could be due to wheezing .you can try asthakind syrup or ascoril SF syrup 10 ml 3 times daily for a few days along with montec LC once daily Sip warm water when you get a bout of cough
