The increased ESR and the blood count number need to be seen from a clinical point of view. She may need further investigations to diagnose if the blood test is due to any problem with the spine or if it is just wear and tear in the spine causing the backpain. She may need either a CT or an MRI scan to evaluate her spine. If indicated antibiotics may be started after the investigations. We need to first know what we are treating. See a Spinal Surgeon for assessment. Hope this helps. Dr Vinu Raj Consultant Spine Surgeon MBBS MRCS FRCS(Trauma&Orth)

Consult the nearest doctor for antibiotics since he must be suffering from any infection. And possibly get done with kidney function test too.
Next Steps
Visit nearest physician.
Health Tips
once the infection is controlled, go with Physiotherapy treatment.
