Continuous fever
Ihave a continuous fever from past 5 days and even after taking medicines and bed rest i am not able to get perfectly fine.

You need to do blood tests including blood culture and radiology testing if needed after meeting a physician.

Fever increases the body's basal metabolic rate.A moderate rise in basal metabolic rate is harmless.However,fever above 105 oF for a long duration has the possibility of causing cerebral damage. For mild fever, keep the patient in a well ventilated room,provide plenty of fliuid orally,so as to make up for the loss of body water by perspiration & increased body metabolism.And other sigs. Avoid self medcation.Medicines should be taken only on the advisc of a physician.Avoid covering the patient having high fever with a blanket.Take pl-enty of fluids.Keep the patient in a cool environment.Cold sponging should be done repeatedly in case of high fever.
