It's because of abdominal colic Colicaid is the right medicine for it Do burping after each feed If baby is exclusively breast fed, 1 motion in 7 days or 7 motions in a day - both is normal .

Child below 6 months can pass motion once in 7 days also. So crying not necessarily is due to not passing motion. It is a problem, if -child is irritable (more than 30min) -distended stomach -fast breathing -not able to take feeds or vomiting If child is taking feeds well and passing urine 6+ in 24 hours, then need not to worry. Colicaid drops won't work as it is for colic and not at all related to passing motion. So prefer it if child cries excessively for 30min or more.
