Disc bulge itself is not a problem until it is compressing adjacent nerve roots. If you are having pain in arms or shoulder or tingling/ numbness then it’s a sign of nerve root compression. Only neck pain suggests of early degenerative changes. Pain in neck can be reduced with effective neck stability exercises which can be prescribed by a nearby physiotherapist. Again osteophyte formation has similar impact along with reduced movements in neck. Exercises will help in better movements.
Next Steps
Kindly visit nearby physiotherapist for complete evaluation and supervised exercises.
Health Tips
Avoid forward bending movements. Take a firm pillow and avoid slouch sitting position. Avoid hot packs. If required you can use ice packs.
