Concern regarding health
Can one take Azithromycin to prevent brain eating amoeba infection, if a little water might have got up the nose, while washing face? It is borewell water from overhead plastic tank, so not chlorinated. Is such infection there in UP state during summer?

Naegleria fowleri infections are very rare
You need treatment only if you have symptoms
Usually one aquires infection only through dirty pond/ river water

I am not aware of any amoeba transmitted through water which enters the brain through the nose. Certainly not in UP.
And if there was to be such an amoeba it would not have responded to Azithromycin.

No transmission occurs generally as you have said .
But you can go test As
CT and MRI of Brain to find out that .
You should use modern technology .
But before going any test take proper consultation .
Next Steps
