Colonoscopy
I should undergo colonoscopy for abdominal pain. Is sedation given while doing colonoscopy to tolerate pain

I routinely give sedation to my patients while doing colonoscopy. It improves compliance and allows a comfortable experience for the patient. But it costs extra for the medicine and the anasthesia doctor who has to be paid. But none of my patients have complained about the extra cost.
