Does normal cold create Smell lloss? I got cold on Saturday(2 days) and little fever and wet cough. Taking dolo tablets and cough syrup(took levocet once since I have allergy). My fever seems to be under control. But cough is there a bit. Yesterday I tried smelling sandalwood oil and was able to smell it .
Today morning I feel my smell is reduced and not able to smell properly. I already got covid couple of years back and vaccinated three times.
Is this a cause of concern? Or is it just because of cold and no need to worry

Common cold and nose block could be the reason for the loss of smell. It may take a few days to resolve.Take steam inhalation 2-3 times a day and drink warm water.
Not to worry. Cold sometimes can cause temporary loss of smell. Take steam inhalation 2-3 times a day with plain water. For cough drink at least 2.5 litres of warm water daily. Warm water gargles 2-3 times a day. If doesn't get better in 2 days or gets worse. Kindly consult.
