Cold in 8month baby
So my little girl is 8month and she's suffering from cold (viral cough n cold)...earlier initially 2 days fever was also there & now she's fine but dry cold( khaasi )makes her uncomfortable. Is there any home remedy or something like that.
I'm giving her MAXTRA thrice a day as prescribed by pediatrician.

Greetings , it's takes time to subside so continue the same medication as prescribed .

Hello there,
It is a viral illness. Most viral illnesses of the nose and throat subside by 3-5 days.
As you have mentioned that the fever has subsided, it seems that the body is recovering.
Signs of recovery are:
1) good oral intake
2) no signs of increased work of breathing
In some select viral disease of the upper airways the cough ( which is mostly dry) might persist for upto 2 weeks ( book a consultation for more detailed discussion)

Offer warm soups / warm water sips to drink
Health Tips
Seek medical help urgently if she develops
noisy breathing causing significant breathing difficulty or ear ache.
