Cold and Cough
Hello Doctor, My daughter is 1 year 10 months old. From last Night she is having cold and cough. Last Night cough lasted for 2 hours and from today Morning she is having Running nose. Pls suggest me with the syrup for cold and cough and also dosage level for 1 yr 10 month old kid..

You should give cetirizine syp 2.5ml once a day for 5to7 days for cold... For dry cough you can use zerotuss syp 2.5ml 2times a day and also give home remedy for cough...

Hello , give steam inhalation to baby , give drinking water frequently to keep baby hydrated, you can give honey in warm water . Cough syrup etc have no role . If fever breathlessness wheezing are there child needs examination & investigations to treat the cause of cough related disease . Simple cold and cough could be viral and it will pass off with supportive treatment as advised . Avoid irritants like smoking or mosquito coil etc

Give Syr Cetrizine 2.5 ml twice daily for 3 days for cold Syr Levolin 2.5 ml 2-3 times / day for cough
