There are several conditions that can cause cognitive difficulties, including but not limited to: Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD): This condition can cause difficulties with attention, concentration, and impulsivity. Depression: Depression can impact cognitive function and cause difficulties with memory, attention, and problem-solving. Anxiety: Chronic anxiety can sometimes affect concentration and cognitive performance. Neurological disorders: Conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, or traumatic brain injury can result in cognitive impairments. Sleep disorders: Lack of quality sleep can lead to cognitive problems, affecting memory, attention, and problem-solving abilities. The appropriate treatment depends on an accurate diagnosis. Medications such as antidepressants or antipsychotics may be prescribed in some cases, but it would depend on the specific condition diagnosed by a psychiatrist . Other treatments, such as therapy, counseling, lifestyle changes, or cognitive rehabilitation, may also be recommended based on the underlying cause. It's crucial to consult a psychiatrist/medical professional who can assess your symptoms, provide a proper diagnosis, and recommend the most suitable treatment options for your specific situation.

Hi there Thank you for your question. It is difficult for a doctor and unfair to you to come to a diagnosis based on the information you have provided. There are a couple of possibilities that come to my mind but difficult to say which one based on insufficient information provided. Mood disorder or ADHD are working diagnoses I would consider preliminarily. However, this is not to be taken as final. Whilst it is clear you are struggling with concentration and completing tasks, you most definitely need to consult a psychiatrist for a proper diagnostic assessment. Treatment will of course follow the correct diagnosis.

Please see a psychiatrist
