My mother has been on sertraline 50 mg and olanzapine 5 mg, cypon syrup and vitazyme syrup for 15 days, as prescribed for her diagnosis of Major Depressive Disorder. However, she has been experiencing significant panic, excessive worry, and fear of death, accompanied by symptoms like loss of appetite, nausea, weakness, and palpitations.
These symptoms seem to be causing her a great deal of distress, and I am wondering if this is a normal response to the medication or if adjustments are necessary. Specifically, she is experiencing heightened anxiety and panic despite taking the prescribed medications.
it would be safe and appropriate to introduce clonazepam 0.5 mg for managing her panic attacks and excessive worry. Are there any concerns with combining clonazepam with her current medications?

It is for the psychiatrist to decide and not based on your knowledge. Clonazepam can also cause sedation, drowsiness, falls and cognitive deificts on a longer run. Consult a psychiatrist and seek remedy.
