I have had chronic neck cracking (if I can even call it that) for three years now. I have a constant need to crack my neck, and most of the time I do it without even realising it, and it happens repeatedly. People often tell me I'm going to rip off my neck if I do that. If this has gone beyond your control, then you should consult a counsellor. Cracking your neck frequently may damage the joints of cervical spine and hasten spondylosis (degeneration).
