Chronic inflammation
Usg report shows a small chronic inflamatory lession is back of neck . Is it low grade infection. Any risk is there . Please suggest. Attached usg report . A small swelling lymph node is persisting in back of neck is painless from last 5 months. No symtoms of fever or weight loss or other swelling in the bodies.

It sounds like a reactive swelling of a superficially placed lymph node. Such swellings are commonly due to dandruff or scalp itchiness for any reason.

Please use a medicated anti dandruff shampoo, like Selshun, every alternate day for the next 10 days.

This lymph node suggest low grade inflammation and infection..sometimes it’s because of scalp dandruff You can do a short course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory.. No need to worry, if it’s not increasing in size
