Child not started speaking till now
My child is 2.5 years old . His weight is 14 kg . He only speaks 4-5 words till now  . Sometimes he does not  speak even one word in the entire day . We have taken him to 2-3 doctors . They said that he will start speaking after sometime. I don't say he should start speaking now but there should be some progress . But current progress is almost zero . Now he is going through a treatment as  the  doctor said that he may have  deficiency of some minerals and vitamins . The current medicines are as follows : 1.  V Total ( MYO INOSITAL , LYSINE WITH MULTIVITAMIN  AND MULTIMINERAL SYRUP) 2 FERONID MAX( FERROUS ASCORBATE , FOLIC ACID & METHYLCOBALAMIN SUSPENSION) 3 ZING MEMORY BOOSTER TONIC All these liquid medicines are given 2 times a day .We have been giving above   medicines for  3 months but there is no progress . No test blood or urine etc was done by doctor .We are very tensed . Please help us 🙏🙏

This is definitely abnormal to speak only 3-4 words at 2.5 yrs Only oral medicines won’t help a lot, although supplementing deficient micronutrients might be useful . There is no need for any blood or urine tests unless there is any indication that there is a overall developmental delay in the child, in which case we might need it for finding a cause for the delay
Next Steps
Consultation needed for detailed examination of the child, and a more detailed history to suggest the cause of the speech delay, and also to find any other delay that might be there. Treatment will be holistic and target all aspects, not just speech.
Health Tips
Do not ignore the speech delay and start appropriate action as soon as possible, you have already delayed evaluation and treatment by 3 months

It's very obvious that speech is delayed. But we need to rule out various things before commenting upon the actual cause. What's the screen time? Does the child have any social interactions? Does your child responds to his name and listens on calling?  Ask your Pediatrician about various developmental milestones in your child. Is it speech delayed or other milestones too? The blood and urine tests won't help until and unless we suspect a metabolic disorder for the delayed speech. Instead speech therapist which are available for providing therapy at home even...will help you. Tongue tie to rule out.
