Chicken pox with 4 week pregnant
Hi doctor,
I am 5 week pregnant. And got chicken pox with 102 fever like 4 days back. I am really worried and would like to know how this can affect my baby. Will everything be okay with all the medicine I am taking.please reply

Chicken pox can affect you and your baby. You got the infection too early in pregnancy.
Antiviral drugs will shorten the duration of illness and they are safe in pregnancy.
Chicken pox still doesn't warrant an MTP. Of course if the patient asks for it for a different reason then it can be offered.
