Give just steam inhalations for cold and cough and decongestant nasal drops for nasal block or increased cough on lying down.
Use paracetamol for fever if required.
Viral infections,specially of nose and throat will occur 6-7 times a year till 8 years of age,it's normal,relax!!
If accompanied by other symptoms like wheezing sounds in the breathing and breathlessness,consult your paediatrician asap.
