My 67 year old mother is a lung cancer patient and is on chemotherapy and doctor said no raw fruits and vegetables..
But I want her to have kiwi..
Can I boil kiwi for 2 minutes and give it to her?
Is it safe to boil kiwi?
Are there other fruits I can boil?

Hello!
Kindly ask your doctor first as it is a matter of great concern.
But,try to avoid all kind of juices as it will increase cough and will be uncomfortable for your mother.
Stay blessed!
Thankyou.

Hi.
As kiwi is soft food... U can give her like that
Pls dnt give her anything in juice form as she is lung cancer patient... Juice will put pressure and can cause more of cough issue.
Give her boiled eggs or sauteed paneer.
Give her hot soup that will help her.
If she is non diabetic... You can give her sabudana
Fruits are not allowed during chemotherapy because of 2 reasons 1) Raw vegetables and fruits are source of infection and patient becomes immunocompromised during chemo, so they pick up secondary infection
2) Fruits and vegetables are a good source of folic acid, and folic acid accelerates cell division, with may help the tumor growth. To stop that raw fruits, vegs, green leafy veggies are avoided during chemo
Please give stewed apple, pear, guava,.
