Do you bite in day time or night? It can be bruxism if it's night time. It can be managed by meds & teeth guard. You can continue treatment for anxiety.Better to take proper consultation.
I will advise to continue medication with therapy and don't adjust dose of medication & abruptly stop on your own. It is a curable and can be controlled to a great extent. Do not loose hope, you should take thorough treatment & discuss with your doctor, doctor will manage accordingly

Hello. What you're describing is known as cheek biting - a type of body-focused repetitive behavior (BFRB). It’s commonly seen in individuals with anxiety disorders or obsessive-compulsive spectrum conditions. It often acts as a coping mechanism during stress or mental tension, and becomes a repetitive habit cycle.
Next Steps
Please consult a psychiatrist or clinical psychologist trained in CBT for BFRBs. Habit Reversal Training (HRT) is a specific technique proven helpful. Medications like SSRIs may also help reduce the urges when used alongside therapy.
Health Tips
Avoid guilt- this behavior is not your fault and is treatable. Keep a log of triggers and practice grounding techniques. Mouth guards or barrier methods can help prevent injury while behavioral strategies work to break the cycle.
It could be a variant of skin picking or excoriation disorder. But further history clarification is needed. If it's so, it must have been associated with intense urge to bite the cheeks, and heightened anxiety until bitten, and sudden relief of anxiety once bitten, and the urges worsen when stressed, and over time, it might get habituated. It may lead to tissue loss and damage which may predispose to infections and other medical conditions. It can be treated with either or both medications and therapy.
Next Steps
Kindly consult online for further evaluation and management.
