Chronic neck pain in the cervical spine. It is localised and numbing. Massage doesn't help. It is not muscle pain. If I sit for even 1 minute on the laptop or if I type for just a few seconds, it poses discomfort. There has relief when I do neck exercises and sleeping without a pillow on a hard surface. This pain has been there for 20 years since age 21. It is so bad that even if I were a blazer or jacket with collar/ light halter top/ any necklace it hurts. Very concerned about the weakness. At the end of the day it is a cause for fatigue and feels like my brain is being pinched.

Hi,
This is due to compression of nerve in your cervical region
Since the problem persists for so long I recommend you to get a MRI done
For the time being you can start with medication and physiotherapy
