I was diagnosed with a cervical length of 2.89cm at 24 weeks. The doctor said nothing to worry about unless it's 2.5cm or below and asked me to continue exercises for an hour each day.
What precautions should I take so that it doesn't get worse? I'm planning on traveling to my hometown at 30-31 weeks.

Your doctor has absolutely correctly advised you
Length more than 2.5 cm is normal
There is nothing that you can do to prevent the length from reducing
