You need to consult with doctor online or offline for better guidance and treatment options. As looking at attached x ray it seems like filling can be sufficient. But still looking at tooth can help better to understand the problem.

Root canal treatment is the right option for your tooth. The decay is very deep and in very close proximity of the pulp. If you do filling in such tooth there may be intense pain and swelling. Final decision can be taken only on clinical examination.
