We usually ask patient to take a break from screen/ Mobile for a week and stay inside house. It's not bed rest, the idea behind staying inside house is to prevent unnecessary exposure and infection. He can start morning walk and limited activities after a week with due COVID precautions.

If he is undergoing Phaco cataract surgery, then usually it is advised 8 days home stay( although some docs may say3, some say 15). If other type of surgery is advised ( sics) then 1 month is a norm for healing.
