Cataract surgery
Hi, my mother is diagnosed with Cataract in both eyes not fully formed though. Is the advisable to go for surgery before it is formed fully? And can surgery be done on both eyes in two days? (one eye on one day and other eye next day). Whatever other necessary things I need to know please let me know. Thank you

Now with modern cataract surgery techniques, no need to wait until fully formed. Two eyes can be done on two consecutive days. It is very much accepted scientifically and is also very safe. Depending on the assessment done by your eye surgeon, you may be offered a good variety of lens implants, namely, Indian, imported, toric, multifocal and so on.
