PCIOL stands for posterior chamber intraocular lens. Alcon acrysof is type of monofocal, hydrophobic aspheric PCIOL. It can uv protection feature. Phacoemulsification with pciol under local anaesthesia means surgery will be done using ultrasound energy (Phacoemulsification) after giving injection around eye to anaesthestise the eye(local anaesthesia), pciol will be implanted at the end of surgery.
