Cancer treatment advice
My father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July, 2023 and underwent whipple surgery on 29th July ,2023. Following the surgery, he received six months of chemotherapy, comprising Gemcitabine and Capecitabine, which concluded on February 13. Gemcitabine was administered in six cycles, each comprising three sessions per week, while Capecitabine was taken as one tablet in the morning and two tablets at night for 14 consecutive days, followed by a seven-day break.  Subsequently, a PET scan was performed on February 22,,2024 revealing metastases to the lungs and liver. Pls suggest the further treatment and test

Hi    Sorry for your father as he developed metastatic pancreatic cancer, but in pancreatic cancer risk of developing metastasis is high even after chemotherapy (even higher if chemotherapy not given).
Next Steps
biopsy if possible from the lesional site to confirm recurrence
Health Tips
meet ur doctor for further chemotherapy with FOLFIRINOX if patient is fit or other chemotherapy like Gemcitabine with nabpaclitaxel or S1
