Can we cure autoimmune hypothyroidism
My friend was diagnosed with autoimmune hyperthyroidism in 2015. After taking medicine she was ok but her thyroid gland was damaged.so now she has hypothyroidism. Can it be reversed.if yes which Doctor should she consult. Can walnut oil massage cure thyroid?

Autoimmune diseases don't have permanent cure. They can only be controlled. In your friends case she has gone into hypothyroidism. It usually doesn't happen because from hyperthyroidism to hypothyroidism it can't happen overnight. Now that she is having hypothyroidism she needs treatment for that. Since it is a rare presentation it is better that she is treated by an Endocrinologist.
