Need to check the cause of your digestion related problems. Whether its due to less water or fibre or oil intake. Improper sleep, stress, sedantary lifestyle can also be a cause. Trifla is best in the mornings for digestion issues but first check for the cause.

Hi, As already said there is no harm in taking triphala. But be cautious for its long term use. It may cause dryness and will make you dependent for bowel movements. Better take it with ghee  and warm water. This  combination will avoid dryness and will not make Lekhan karma i.e. will not make you further skinny. There are many substitutes for Triphala for constipation. Avipattikar churna Hingvashtaka churna Drakshasava Gandharva Haritaki Swadisht virechan churna Abhayarishta etc. But you need to consult the Ayurvedic doctor to choose correct one according to your problem.
