Can not feel iud strings

Asked for Female, 20 Years

Hi, I got an iud inserted in November. After the 3 day no finger, nor intercourse period I checked for my strings and didn't fell anything. I thought it would be normal. It's been 2 months my period is not heavy at all its less heavy and the color is light red almost like a clean red pink. I have not gone to check my iud. I have looked for myself and never felt anything. I use condom for protection, but wanted to know if it is normal not to find the iud or not.
