Hello doctors,
I have ABPA (Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis). My pulmonary doctor never started any specific treatment for ABPA yet. Recently, I had a chest infection, so the doctor gave me Foracort 200 (formoterol 6 + budesonide 200).
But after using it, my breathing got worse, so I stopped using it.
I have my next appointment next Friday (after 7 days). Until then, I have stopped all medicines.
My question is:
Can I take my own Montek LC (montelukast + levocetirizine) once daily for the next 7 days until I meet the doctor?
Please advise if this is safe or helpful.
Thank you!

Actually information is incomplete, If your abpa was diagnosed, you were not having symptoms right? As abpa treatment mainstay does not consist of inhalers but of antifungals and steroids. As per if you have bronchial asthma, then inhalers are given. But your conditioned worsened? In what sense does it worsened? After that we can decide everything

There is a specific protocol to diagnose ABPA as well as protocol to receive treatment for ABPA.. and yes we usually advise foracort in these cases.. u should use inhaler technique properly and also rinse mouth after using it ..
Coming to ur question regarding montec lc … u can take it before going bed at night time once daily.. it ll help for ur asthma trigger and prevent cough and might not help for breathing difficulty
Hi. I understand your concern. Do a online consult for a detailed analysis of your symptoms and reports to suggest you further management plan and treatment prescription for the same
Yes, you can take it at bed time but it will not significantly improve your breathing problem.
My advice for you is to check the technique whether you are taking foracort correctly or not.
Next Steps
avoid dust, closed hot and humid areas, pet danders
