My son is 7 months old. He was born in chennai and there the pediatrician has given only vit d3 syrup and iron syrup till 1yr.
After shifting to hyderabad, we consulted a local pediatrician where the doc prescribed bevon vitamin drops 0.5ml and calcimax 2.5ml , both syrups twice a day.
Is calcimax required for 7 months old baby? Which doc should I follow.

Only vitamin D and iron are recommended because their deficiencies are very common in kids. Other vitamins don't have any clear benefit. Follow your first pediatrician
Normally if the infant was born at term, and had birth weight more than 2.5kg and is gaining weight adequately with no signs or symptoms of micronutrient deficiency, just vitamin D prophylaxis is given until one year of age.
Calcium, iron, multivitamins are not routinely given to every infant..
