Ideally it should be replaced as soon as possible. However, if you are unable to visit soon, then it can be fixed at the next appointment. It is important that you preserve the buccal tube and take it to your orthodontist.
Hi,
A broken braces buccal plate doesn't necessarily mean it's a dental emergency. If you're not experiencing pain from a broken buccal plate or a loose wire, you can probably wait.
But get your broken buccal plate fix as soon as possible.
Broken buccal tube ideally shud be replaced within a week from the breakage. As there is a lockdown situation in place you can wait till your next monthly visit to your Orthodontist. Make sure no wire is impinging your cheek. Kindly apply an orthodontic relief wax over the broken tube if your dentist has provided you with it. Make sure to not chew from that side and avoid eating anything hard or sticky till your next visit.
