A detailed medical and psychiatric history is always needed for every patient. In addition, there is a need for detailed mental status examination of the case to come for a diagnosis and management of the case accordingly.
Next Steps
Why the treatment was prescribed is not clear.Do take a fresh review of the case from a mental health professional. Sodium valproate is also given many psychiatric disorders as primary drug or in addition to the other medications prescribed.
Health Tips
How old is your brother? Is he suffering from any medical or other conditions? Do take the help of a mental health professional.
