It is also called Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). Its neuromuscular concern. It's related to the functions of the brain signal. The signals which are received, processed and sent, do not sync in their actions. There is a modified response in FND patients. It needs to be treated in a holistic approach for complete recovery. It can be well treated with homeopathic medicine effectively and without any side effects. He needs an expert psychologist who is a good homeopathic physician.

He is under Psychiatric treatment, eventually he will get better. You can talk to a neurologist for extra opinion. If he feels better, try to involve him in some pleasure giving activity like music, drama, recitation etc. Even now also, talk to him objectively, try to engage his brain into something positive. As you have mentioned about a sleeping pill disorder, you can also consider taking Counselling sessions once he gets better. But the primary thing is to follow psychiatrist's advice.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your brother's struggles. Conversion disorder can be complex, especially when compounded by triggers like sleep issues, tremors, seizures, and emotional trauma. It's essential that he continues under the care of a mental health professional, who can develop a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to his needs. This typically includes psychotherapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), to address underlying emotional trauma and help him develop healthier coping mechanisms. Managing sleep problems and preventing sleep pill abuse may involve gradual medication adjustment, sleep hygiene techniques, and possibly alternative therapies. Close monitoring of his symptoms, especially seizures, is crucial, and coordination with neurologists or psychiatrists is recommended. Support from family, patience, and creating a safe, stress-reducing environment can also significantly aid his recovery. Encouraging him to be open about his feelings and ensuring he doesn't feel isolated are vital steps toward his healing journey.
