When did u meet an accident.. in recent past or much before is also an important aspect here which can't be neglected. As in if the trauma to teeth is recent then they are considered to be under a state of shock so best would be to wait and watch for at least four to six weeks before coming to any conclusion. Also what sort of trauma it is ..is also imp. which again depends on various kinds of tooth fractures which can be classified only after clinical and x-ray examination. My sincere advice would be to get the teeth examined in case if u have pain on biting, sensitivity ,  continuous pain or mobility ( feeling of a loose tooth)etc. If the remaining tooth structure is sound enough to hold a restoration or a cap then the same teeth can be preserved. Good luck.
