Hi , first it is not possible to remove thoughts from mind , more  effort you  put to remove thoughts more they would resist. So accept them as they are without demanding that I must not have these thoughts, it would better if they donot come to mind. It is my hunch you are feeling anxiety about your next panic attack. You are looking for guarantee and assurance so  that next panic attack do  not happen but it would be better if you accept panic attack can happen ,if panic attack happen it would be unfortunate but not terrible and difficult to bear but not impossible to bear ,no one die of panic attack .Now you are monitoring your breathe so that you can avoid panic attack but it further increase your anxiety. Instead of controlling your breathing accept that you cannot control it as we are humans and humans don't have 100 percent control over their breathing. So why to control which we can't control and when we try to control which we can't control we make our self anxious.
Next Steps
go for counselling (1-2 sessions would be sufficient)

Normally Breathlessness followed by panic attacks may make you more anxious. Both anxiety and panic are associated with fear.  So a professional will diagnose you , to know what has caused you the panic.  How long have you been dealing with this problem etc. This is a natural  way your brain reacts to the panic situation, like pumping blood faster increasing the heart rate., making  individuals breathe quickly to provide more oxygen to muscle . 1. When you feel shortness of breath / needing for more oxygen. Simply sit down relax and concentrate on your breath. Which would give you instant relief and be easy to do. But this might not help you in the long run. There are a lot of other techniques, but before that a proper diagnosis should be done on yourself by a professional. Later with their assistance you can easily overcome and cope with situations like that. The cause of your anxiety should be known and counseling will be done accordingly to overcome your negative thoughts processing during the situations.
Next Steps
Consult a Counseling Psychologist
Health Tips
1.  Regular exercise, self care, good eating and sleeping habits would help 2. Meditation and mindfulness activities are more effective.

It's common to experience lingering anxiety or sensitivity around breathing after a panic attack. To help manage these feelings, you can try the following: 1. Engage in deep breathing exercises when you feel anxious. Inhale slowly through your nose, hold for a few seconds, and then exhale through your mouth. This can help you regain a sense of control over your breath. 2. Mindfulness techniques and meditation can assist in redirecting your focus away from your breath. They promote a calm and centered mindset. 3. Regular exercise can help reduce anxiety and improve your overall lung and cardiovascular health. This, in turn, can reduce concerns about your breathing. 4. If these issues persist, consider speaking with a therapist who specializes in anxiety or panic disorders. They can provide you with personalized strategies and support to manage these thoughts effectively. Remember, these feelings can be managed, and with time and the right strategies, you can regain a sense of normalcy in your breathing patterns.
