Balloon Sinuplasty is a minimally invasive procedure but is best done for Sinusitis patients without any other pathology like nasal polyps or septal deviation or turbinate hypertrophy. Basically it is used to permanently widen blocked sinus openings so that medication in the form of nasal sprays can finally enter the sinuses to heal them and to drain the blocked sinuses. It is not a replacement for Septoplasty or Turbinoplasty or FESS. Only a CT scan of your nose and paranasal sinuses will guide your ENT Surgeon to select the right treatment for you!
